Sacramental Procedures...
Water Baptism. In our view the New Testament teaches that water baptism is required for all believers (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19). Therefore, we believe that water baptism is not an isolated event in a Christian life, but a daily reality in the Spirit wherein our old nature is buried with Christ and our new nature rises with Him in holiness and obedience. Water baptism should be a public sacrament before the assembled congregation. Our mode of water baptism is by immersion that follows a voluntary, conscious, confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Holy Communion. Regarding holy communion we believe that our Lord's Supper is more than a memoriam meal in that it is a sharing or participation in the Body and the Blood of Jesus utilizing the elements of bread and grape juice. A worthy participation in Our Lord's Supper requires a basic knowledge and purpose of this sacrament along with a repentant heart. All are welcome to participate in this sacrament who confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead because it is the "Lord's Table" and a sign then of our acceptance of all true believers as members of the same body, the Church. Children are permitted to partake of our Lord's Supper when the parents believe that the children are prepared with an understanding from the Word of God.
Dedication of Children. Parents are encouraged to dedicate their children to the Lord. A public dedication emphasizes the important and sacred responsibility that parents have toward their children.
